Hidden Quilt Hanger Clip

This clip is designed to be used in displaying wall quilts or similar artwork. Two or more clips must be used for support. The clips have holes provided so that the two end clips can be nailed to the wall with 1" wire nails. Clips between the two end clips may also be nailed to the wall as desired but this is not required. The clips are held in alignment with a 3/8" diameter wooden dowel which also provides support for the inner clips.

The beauty of this design is that no attachment features need to be sewn into the quilt and the supporting dowel is hidden and therefore doesn't detract from the beauty of the quilt. The color of the clips can be chosen to match the quilt or wall, or you can use clear as I did to help hide the exposed part of the clips.

This clip was designed to hang lightweight quilts but it could also be used hang other forms of lightweight art.

I used PETG to make my clips and is a good choice. ABS and Nylon would also be good choices. PLA might creep overtime and lose its grip.
