Get your ironing board off the floor - perhaps on the back of a closet door as I did with this approach.

I looked at the various brackets others have on offer, but thought I would like something a little different. Some others depend a bit more on cantilevered arms which seem to ask a bit more of PLA than it might have in it. Mine beefs up the support arm and gets more material under them too. It should securely support a T-shaped ironing board leg for a sturdy mounting on a wall or the back of a door.

Just for fun I've shared the clay model I roughed up as a starting point. If you model your own 3D parts consider getting a chunk of simple Plasticine or other modelling clay, and you'll find it speeds your path to a first viable model by letting you find a good shape, and rough-in the initial dimensions.

I printed my ironing-board hanger at only 25% fill, thinking I'd just use that first try as a fit-test. It was surprisingly strong already though, so I've used it. I suspect it may fracture after a few months, so you're probably best off printing yours at 40% or more.

I also improved a few thicknesses and chamfers after that first test print (and my photo above), so if you print this shared model you'll already be one step ahead of me. I'll print a v2 myself once (if?) the first one fails.

The screw holes are also a bit better in the STL I've got here for you, with thicker material and a better countersink.

Realizing this would probably be a decent shovel-holder for the garage or gardening shed too. I'll have to try it out this summer.

Enjoy. Would love to see your makes. :)
