Description

  • Buy a (body) to T2 (lens) adapter, remove the threaded inner ring that is the T2 component, then you can stick this thing into it and mount your SLR on top of your trinocualr microscope.
    • This is made specifically for a Pentax PK style mount and flange distance, so Nikons may not focus correctly, but Canon should.
    • Pretty cool with HDMI and liveview. But also for taking photos/video of your micro-world.
    • Originally made to fit the 22mm C-mount tube that comes with this microscope, but that flange distance is intended for much smaller sensors, so obviously that was going to suck. The only way to get the required APS-C flange distance was to mount the "adapter" directly onto the top of the microscope after removing the 22mm tube/C-mount components.
    • ...So the title isn't completely correct. And idgaf right now.
  • IT JUST SITS ON TOP OF THE MICROSCOPE. And will fall off if you bash something too hard. No doubt I will stick a locking screw in it eventually after I find out what else sucks and iterate the design. But for now I'm just using it as is.
  • Flange distance seems to be correct for camera to be in focus at all focallenghts using:
    • WF10x/20 eyepieces, and
    • 0.5X auxiliary objective on top of the standard objective
    • .... you just need to adjust the camera to focus, then adjust your eyepieces to also focus. After that you should be generally correct at all ranges.
