ERROR CORRECTION 08/05/2019

I have corrected an error in the STL files of the components 6d to 6i! Now there is place for the nuts. For these parts a resolution (layer high) of 0.1mm is necessary.

Laboratory equipment for teaching STEM in schools PART2

sm_pb 03/2019 thing:3469091

for PART1 see thing:3433683

I have developed a tripod system for teaching STEM in schools. In science education all students should be able to experiment with materials as freely as possible. Therefore, this system offers many (matched) possibilities of assembly.

All system parts are designed for tripod bars with a diameter of 10mm. For teaching I recommend the purchase of rods with 750mm, 500mm, 250mm and 125mm length.

All parts are equipped with M6 screws. These are required in length 30mm, 35mm, 40mm, 60mm and 80mm.
Furthermore, many nuts M6 are required, but in the flat design (DIN 439). These are pressed into all components. Falling out of the nuts is prevented by noses in the guides. Also nuts M6 in the usual form DIN 934 are needed.

List of parts / bill of material (BOM)

For all parts applies: A print support is not necessary if the parts are printed as shown in the pictures. The infill should be at least 50%, in some parts 80%.

01 to 04: see thing:3433683

05a and b. The rotation clamp, two parts, male and female: A support is already installed. This support can be easily removed after printing. Four small grub screws M4 are needed. With a little vaseline (or petrolatum), the friction is greatly reduced. Two knobs 10a (25.5mm height), two screws M6x30mm and two flat nuts M6 DIN 439 are additionally required.

06a to 06f: The angle clamps: three different pairs of clamp, three parts of the female form (with the rod in the x,y and z direction), three part of the male form (again with the rod in the x,y and z direction). So six combinations of these clamps are possible: xx, xy, xz, yy, yz and zz.
The angle of all pairs can be fixed at 90 degrees, 122.5 degrees, 135 degrees, 157.5 degrees and 180 degrees.
For each clamp a knob 10a (25.5mm height), one screws M6x30mm and one flat nuts M6 DIN 439 are required. For the connection of a male and a female clamp you will need a knob 10b (22mm), a screw M6x40mm and a nut M6 DIN 934.

06g to 06k: Extension arms of length 50mm, 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, 250mm and 300mm. These can be combined with the clamps 6a to 6f. On the "male" side of the extension arm a screw M6x40mm and a nut M6 DIN 934 is required.

For the parts 6d to 6i a resolution (layer high) of 0.1mm is necessary.#####

05a and b.
