Anet A8 Z Rod Top Bearing Support

I found that the stepper motor link to the screw gives the Z screw rod a little to much movement so I have installed a simple fix which is a variation on loads of simlar fixes out there.

I brought two bearings in carriages from Ebay:

I then printed two spacers of 20 mm and installed them at the top of the rod using two nuts and bolts (be careful when drilling acrylic as it could crack). There is grub screws on the bearings which you can lock, this eliminates the free up down movement of the Z rod.

As a side note I stiffened up my frame by bolting aluminium angle to the uprights and mounted and screwed the whole printer onto a piece of plywood.
