Description

If you do not have a printer, don't worry! You can have 8 of these nuts delivered to you for under 20 bucks. Click on the ORDER THIS PRINTED above and select PLA or ABS plastic.

The center hole is 6mm and the base is 30mm.

GM tail light retainer nuts for use on the following models.
1978 1979 1980 1981 Camaro
82 83 84 85 86 87 88 89 90 91 92 3rd Gen Camaro
1979 1980 1981 Trans Am.
1979 1980 1981 Firebird
These screw onto the studs that extend off the back side of the tail light and poke through the sheetmetal into the trunk compartment.

Added note, it looks like nut will work on several other types of GM vehicles:
1978 1980 1981 1982 1983 1984 1985 1986 1987 GRAND NATIONAL BUICK

Tips:

  • A 13mm or half inch wrench will fit over the end, but it is recommended to only use your fingers to tighten the nut.
  • Print model 100% infill.
  • I recommend using a rubber washer, with a 3/8 interior hole and 1 1/4 outside radius, https://www.amazon.com/Hard-Find-Fastener-014973211851-Washers/dp/B00L1IUQHW/

I had a heck of a time finding new wing nuts to connect my tail lights to my 1978 Camaro. So I decided to make some.
