On my PROMEGA, the gantry isn't quite long enough to reach both sides. So when I screw in the gantry to the carriage it pulls the carriage so hard it binds on the linear rail causing layer shifts. If you are having this issue check the lubrication on the rail and the carriage to make sure it moves freely and then look to see if you have a gap between the gantry and the carriage. It comes with a cut-able length in case you need to move it around when you place it between the gantry and the carriage. I only needed to install it on the right hand side to fix my issues.
Once I added this the gantry began moving freely. Take a look and see if this is for you. Could help.
You must print at 0.2mm or the shim won't be the appropriate height. I've included .8mm, .6mm and .4mm shims depending on your printer. I personally used the .8mm.
Once installed just cut off however much of the arm you want and you are all set!
I recommend printing the gantry cradle first so this installs like a breeze.
