It might seem counterintuitive, but sometimes you need to convert filament into pellets. This is an easy way to recycle old filament, make master batches or create custom / experimental materials. This is a work in progress... the unused 5mm insets are meant for heat-set inserts with the potential for a pellet collector and/or drill mount to be added.
The UnStruder uses the 3D printed parts from a
LulzBot TAZ Single Extruder V2 to feed filament. You can print the parts from the
LulzBot Source or convert an unused tool head. A 5/16" drill bit is used to chop the filament.
The UnStruder should be compatible with any Greg/Wade style extruder, but has not been tested.

I'm driving the stepper motor with a Pololu DRV8825 connected to an Arduino Uno, but use whatever you have lying around. The Arduino sketch is included in the files.
