Description
This is an LED light for a modified version of an 8 inch moon lamp (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2771919).
The lamp consists of a frame for an ESP8266 in form of an D1 Mini board, which is connect to an WS2812 LED strip in order to controll an LED illumination for an 8'' (20cm) moon lamp.
The mounted LED is fixed with hot melt adhesive to a lower part of the moon lamp with an hole inside for the USB plug. This is than fitted into the main part of the moon lamp.
Additional to the printed parts the following parts are necessary:
Beside the frame, the reset switch can be used through an extra printed pin. This is not really necessary, once the system is running. Additional there is a cone to fix the D1 mini in the frame. Both (pin and cone) might need some fine addaption with sand paper, in order to fit, respectively move smooth.
The wiring diagramm and a simple Arduino sketch to programm the ESP822 with an Http-Server to controll the LED through WLAN can be found here: https://github.com/jomjol/moon-lamp-LED-ESP8266
Additionally there is a simple support for the lamp (see https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3531475).
