Description
The only file that needs to be printed is the "Printed Flange.stl" file. Other files are so I could do the design work.
This is a rather niche application, but I'm sure some other researchers and industry people will benefit from it. When doing SPIV (Stereoscopic Particle Image Velocimetry) with high speed cameras (Phantom v2512 here), you need to fit a Scheimpflug adaptor to the camera in order to compensate the camera angle and its usually very shallow DoF.
This adaptor fits on a Phantom flange and accepts a C-Mount. The Scheimpflug adaptors that LaVision provides for their sCMOS cameras is a C-Mount, so it matches very well. The thread might need some cleaning before using, though, to make sure no dust from the plastic parts go to the camera sensor. (Be careful!)
This is something LaVision should have thought of, and they indeed do provide a Scheimpflug adaptor for the Phantom cameras, but it is limited to 10ยบ angle, which wasn't enough for my application. So I decided to make my own. The only issue is that it also acts as a spacer (around 8mm), so some light is lost.
It's very unlikely you're going to get why this part is needed. But if you're an experimental aerodynamicist, let me know if this was useful =)
