You should buy square nuts anyway. They are very useful way of attaching things to prints, and easy to include in a design. :P
Anyway, these rod holders are to replace the little aluminium rod holders. They don't use a set screw, instead holding the rod with a ziptie. I prefer this style because if the set screw ones come loose, then many of them are impossible to access without some printer disassembly.
There are two styles. One with an open end, and one with the end capped off. The capped ones may help prevent the rods rattling against the frame.
I've used these on the Z and Y axes.
