Description
An ugly fan duct I bodged together, but works quite well. Main thing that might be useful for other designs is the bracket that the fan mounts to.
The bracket replaces the metal plate that holds the breakout board to the bearing block. The bracket screws in place using the original screws (IIRC). Then drop a couple of square nuts (hex nuts might be ok at a pinch) into the bracket. The breakout board screws into the top, and the fan is then mounts to the bracket with some M3 x 12mm screws.
Once it's all installed, then the cover clips over the top to hide the cables. This cover is also open at the back, so you can touch the extruder connectors and make sure they aren't getting hot.
