UPDATE!
- I've had problems with printing flexible materials, because sometimes the filament tangled up in the extruder; it works much better, since I countersunk the bottom of the PTFE coupling (watch the pics)
This is a belt bowden extruder for 1.75mm filament;
I mounted it directly to the frame of my P3steel, but you can use a metal or printed Nema 17 mount too;
at next I will try it on my CeXY H-Bot MK2 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3383389
I used:
- Nema 17 motor
- GT2 belt ring 150mm (should work with rings up to ~160mm)
- GT2 pulley 16 teeth (20 teeth will also work)
- MK8 drive gear (ID 5mm; OD 9mm; L 11mm)
- hard spring (ID 5mm; OD 7.5mm; L 10mm) - I cut a heat bed spring in half
- 3x 625ZZ bearings (5x16x5)
- PTFE coupling (6mm thread; countersink bottom --> pics)
- M5x40 Hex
- 2x M5x10
- 2x M5 lock nut
- M3x25
- M3 lock nut
- 3x M3x8 (min. for motor mount - add mounting material thickness)
Happy Printing!
