Description
Hi,
since a little while I have taken a second GEEETech i3B printer, and on this second printer I have do same changes compared my first one, one of these change are the use of Metal Feeder at the place of my refurbished version of GEEETech plastic feeder.
I have decide to use the metal feeder not because I’m not happy with the printed one, but just to try something different… but on the plastic one I have seen some details that are very interesting from my stand point.
For example on the plastic one the filament insertion are very easy because it do not have lot of space between drive gear and barrel!
So I have try to back-port the shape that shrink the space between barrel and drive gear to the metal feeder…
…and here you can found the patch I have realized to put on metal base the shape of plastic base just below the drive gear!
I have included here the patch without support and also the patch with already included some very easy to remove support.
PAY ATTENTION: this component can be in a hot place, is better to print it in PETG or ABS.
