Description
Hey all, this is my take on an Ender 3 control box.
This box houses the mainboard, and the screen. As well as a digital thermometer, switches for power and led lights and an SD card adapter. All of which will be linked at the bottom.
For added cooling I made a mount for a 24v 120mm fan (plug and play with stock Ender 3 mainboard, no soldering required) that's also linked below. As well as plenty of air ventilation holes on the sides and back.
My design utilizes all the stock screws for securing the screen and mainboard to the new control box. No additional hardware needed.
I am working on moving around some internals to create some room for a Raspberry Pi and buck converter here soon as well for all you Octoprint users out there. That should be up soon so keep you eyes peeled.
Wires run through any of the holes in the bottom into the enclosure.
I also included the Fusion 360 files for those of you who want to make your own changes and improvements to fit your specific needs as you please.
Any comments or feedback is greatly appreciated, just drop them below.
Thanks!!
