BNB MK2.5 Short Ears Extruders Compatibility Kit

Bunny and Bear Short Ears Extruder capability for Prusa MK2.5 and MK2.5S printers.
Depending on which printer you have, this kit lets you use one of the Short Ears extruders.

Prusa MK2.5 can use Short Ears for MK3

Prusa MK2.5S use BNBSX Short Ears for MK3S directly. You don't need parts from this kit.

MK2.5 Specific Instructions

Prusa MK2.5 can use BNB Short Ears MK3 Extruder by substituting two parts from this package into the extruder...

BNBS MK25 extruder main.stl
BNBS MK25 pinda clamp.stl

These two parts position the PINDA in the rearward position expected on the MK2.5
These two parts are needed only for the MK2.5. They are not needed for the MK2.5S.

MK2.5S Specific Instructions

MK2.5S extruders are already upgraded to the Prusa MK3S extruder and more modern, MK52 heat bed PINDA position. Although MK2.5S still needs x-stop block on the x-carriage (which is included in Bunny and Bear universal carrige), they accept R4 extruder configuration. MK2.5S also has the MK3S IR filament sensor.

Use BNBSX Short Ears MK3S Extruder https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3626993 and the BNB Universal X-carriage.

General Notes

Once outfitted with their respective versions of Short Ears extruders, both MK2.5 and MK2.5S accept Mosquito and Volcano Compatibility Kits the bunnies designed for Short Ears extruders. However, your MK2.5/S is a 12 volt system. Please use appropriate voltage/wattage heater cartridge in your Mosquito or Volcano hot end. Alternatively use separate 24 volt power and MOSFET.
