Summary

With this kyber crystal placeholder your lightsaber can absorb the energy from a nearby crystal and function without a crystal inside. The stability of the lightsaber can't be guaranteed, and it does appear that if left inactive long enough the lightsaber will need to be reinfused with kyber crystal energy, but it does appear to retain the energy for a while even when off.

This is for use with lightsabers built in Black Spire Outpost on Batuu at a secret shop. There are daily transports to Batuu leaving Disneyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios on their Star Wars route.

Assembly

            <p class="detail-caption"><strong>Step 1: Print the kyber placeholder.  Transparent works well so you can see the color of the saber.</strong></p>                <p class="detail-image"><img src="https://cdn.thingiverse.com/assets/0c/60/b6/d9/3a/steps2.jpg"></p>            <p class="detail-caption"><strong>Step 2: Insert the placeholder by pushing it into the top first, then securing the bottom.  Make sure it's centered on both the top and bottom.  You should also ensure the blade secured in place, as this only works with the blade in place.</strong></p>                <p class="detail-image"><img src="https://cdn.thingiverse.com/assets/24/4a/43/2f/df/steps3.jpg"></p>            <p class="detail-caption"><strong>Step 3: Add the switch piece and switch the saber on and off.  The saber won't light up or make any sounds.</strong></p>                <p class="detail-image"><img src="https://cdn.thingiverse.com/assets/39/dc/31/2a/d0/steps4.jpg"></p>            <p class="detail-caption"><strong>Step 4: With the saber off, gently touch the placeholder with a kyber crystal.
