Description
Inspired by many housing projects for Ender3 printers i was in search for a solution that is integrated, compact and isolated, so i decided to create a solution that fits all of that.
Additionally features a Octoprint setup with printed housing for RaspberryPI and electrical components to control the printer and housing.
The Air Outlet provides a DHT Temp/Humidity sensor mount, i used this in conjunction with the intake fan and RPI/Octoprint to keep housing temperature at a certain level.
This solution works very well and already has 100+ hours of printing behind it.
My designs aimed to be easy printable, so no supports are needed if you rotate the model right.
An explaination including part list of each component for this project.
A little hint: I just started with 3D Printing and how to use CAD Software. Some basic parts are created with TinkerCAD before i switched to Fusion360 and i am still leaning by doing, all parts are functional but can surely improved.
Assemble the Ikea Platsa housing and create cutouts by your needs, the handles for example are only optional.
I want the housing as small as possbile, because of that i mounted the filament spoolholder inside with 90° angle and used a additional filament guide to redirect the filament into the extruder.
To get inspired take a look at my photos.
