BANKSY'S BALLOON GIRL
3D wall art of this Banksy's graffitti.
I took the plain image, extruded it and created the 3D balloons.
To make it as big as possible, I split it in 3 parts, which also allows for using 3 different colours.
As Structural Enginneer :-P, I wanted to print the balloons with no support taking advantage of the dome effect... And I found it more difficult than I expected! The key is the relation between the height of balloons and the thickness of the walls.
With the following combination I was able to print without any support and with no holes or imperfections, and it took around 3 hours at 60 mm/s:
I added a single balloon for testing. You may find any other setup... If it works, please share it!
