After getting a new lead screw and modding my Anycubic Photon to a dual rail setup, heavy models would cause an annoying squeak sound. I assume this is because something isn't perfectly lined up. Since my prints no longer show any signs of Z-wobble, I'm not going to mess with the rails or Z carriage.
My options were limited because grease wasn't helping. Rather than order a plastic lead screw nut, I used the customizer and made this. It's longer, the thread shaft is a little thicker and the screw holes are sized to hold the screw tight. How snug it is will depend on your print settings but mine ended up perfect. Just a little snug but not so much that it causes significant drag. The screw holes are snug as well and rounding the lip out helps the screws bite. This only took 25 minutes to print at .1mm layers. No more squeaks!
