Half Cup Tool Holder (Screw In)

I wanted a holder for pens, pencils and tools. If you have cats, you
know that regular cups sometimes don't stay still. It might get knocked over and scatter your pens, pencils and nail files or whatever all over a room.

So, I wanted a half cup that screws into something. Right now I have no peg board setup or garage/workshop area, so this idea works better for my current situation.

The shorter version was a test that I think might work well for shorter items, like coffee straws / stirrers, etc.
