Description

The foam blade holder of my Align Trex 700N was always popping off when lifting it to a table or putting it in the car. The electrics don't have this trouble--maybe the oil on the boom? or the CG with no fuel?? Doesn't matter. This blade holder stay fixes the issue.

Note: This thing is for the older Align 600 blade holder, part no. AGNH60085--which also fits the 700 just fine. There's no reason for it not to work on the newer/wider blade holders. But, the drill template provided needs to be manually centered on the boom cutout.

For a newer, different model, or different class, you may have to adjust the position on the boom so the stay rides against the boom supports. I designed it for the blade holder to be placed 390mm from the front-most exposed part of the boom. Place your ruler on the boom and 0 it where it hits the front tailbox. On my V1 700 Pro Nitro, 390mm is the rear of the middle pushrod guide. I place the blade holder directly behind the guide and the stay snugs up tight. See the video here for positioning and function:

Use the provided template to drill 21/64'" holes in your foam blade holder by placing the template along the bottom edge of the blade holder, covering the boom cutout (See attached photo); And, drill the foam. note: it is designed to be drilled with a 21/64" bit. But, anything close should be fine. This is foam with a lot of wiggle/give. If you're going to use another bit, use a SMALLER bit. A larger bit may not allow enough friction for the device to stay in place while being used.

The stay is designed to stay on the blade holder, swinging out of the way under the boom supports and control rod to remove from the heli (see attached photos)
