I use a sacrificial piece of 1" insulation styrofoam - not really to prevent chew-out, but mostly so my bits don't hit the drill press table. My drill press table also flips, with a chop saw on the bottom, so I need to attach the sacrificial plate to the table. Problem is, screws will rip straight through insulation, and I dont want screws in there to mess up my drill bits. So I would like the bolts to be made of something a drill bit can go through.
