Variable power supply for the hobbyist\ maker

As a Maker I was in a search for cheap portable power supply and came across this module

This module have a good specifications and is more than enough for my personal needs

Next I needed to design an enclouse to suite my needs and here I present my personal DIY Lab Power Supply

Parts list

  • Power Supply Module
  • Ac-Dc 36V 180W switching board - You can get more powerful board up to 50V
  • 12V 50*50mm Fan
  • On/Off switch
  • XT60 connector
  • AC 250V/10A power inlet socket
  • LM317 DC-DC 1.5A 1.2-37V Adjustable Power Supply Board Adjust the dialer to output 12v for the cooling fan
  • 16AWG Silicon flexible wires
  • M3 Screws kit

Tools I used to build the power supply

  • Creality 3D® Ender-3
  • MINI TS100 Digital OLED Programmable Interface DC5525 Soldering Iron Station watch video review here
  • Xiaomi electric screw driver watch video review here
  • Wire Cable Cutter
  • Wire Cable stripper

Build Instructions

  • Buy all the parts from the above list
  • Print all the parts
  • Follow Power supply module and switching board wiring instructions from the supplied manuals.
  • Fit the power module, board , fan regulator and fanon the corresponding holes and screw the 3M screws

Voila you can now enjoy your DIY Power Supply (:
