R2-D2 Dome Mechanism Part 8 by Matt Zwarts Pie Hinge

This is Part 8 of my Dome Mechanism the hinge for the Pie panel, this design allows for clearance on the lift mechanism rotations.

I taped my hinges in place before screwing and/or gluing together, I found that the bottom of the pie panel needed a little extra clearance sanded too it to stop it catching on the lip of the dome when opening.

Refer to the attached PDF for more details on assembly.

I recommend you print one of these and make sure it fits, before printing all 4, there is one spot on the 3D printed domes that may require some clearance to fit the hinge.
