Description
I would just assume purchase one of these. However, I can't find one quite like the clip provided by easySensors CP2102 with Pogo clip for 2.54 pitch FTDI headers located https://www.tindie.com/products/easysensors/cp2102-with-pogo-clip-for-254-pitch-ftdi-headers/ . They have been sold out for quite some time.
After you print it out, you'll need to drill out the holes for the pogo pins. Additionally, I stretched out the spring, shown on the pictures, to fit the clip. I've included the dimensions of the smaller spring that I had on-hand and shared a link of a larger spring that should work better on the parts list below that should work better. Finally, the rubber band will help with tension.
Here's the parts list.
Backstory:
Starting with the Instructables post by Eric Tsai (https://twitter.com/Eric_1100). I found inspiration with DIY home automation. Computourist (https://github.com/computourist/RFM69-MQTT-client) cleaned up the programming and added the ability to transmit to end nodes. Then I found a great forum that has simplified the build and offers a great community http://homeautomation.proboards.com/post/2053/thread
This is my attempt to contribute back to the http://homeautomation.proboards.com/ community
