Description
O-ring to insert between the area where the earpiece connects to the HMD and prevent drooping during active play. I found mine to be very loose and constantly drooping out of the way. This post on Reddit located a fix reddit.com/r/ValveIndex/comments/cf8jpe/simple_mod_ordering_part_required_to_fix_drooping/ and inspired me to try printing with TPU instead of buying a bag of o-rings. The default thickness is .2mm but can and probably will need to be scaled in Z to fit your headset. I recommend making them in a set of 5 thicknesses (.2, .4, .6, .9, 1). I settled on .6mm. Makes the rotation very stiff but usable and it is rock solid when moving fast in VR.
MUST use TPU for this. Hard plastic might cause damage.
The index uses a torx T6 screw to attach each earpiece.
