Kenwood Major adapter for Moulinex/Tefal Fresh Express cone cutters

I have been a long time and happy user of the Moulinex/Tefal Fresh Express food processor but I recently got a full fledged Kenwood Major kitchen machine. So far I am 100% happy with the Kenwood Major and all the accessories which came with it. So, since I liked the way the fresh express worked, I looked for a similar accessory from Kenwood and was very happy to see that they actually have the "Metal Roto Food Cutter AT643" which seems to do the same thing. So I bought it.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed upon the first use. Yes it is all metal, yes it is heavy duty, but NO, it does not shred the carrots the way I want (either it is to fine and a bit mashed or it is too coarse) and NO, NO NO it is not dishwasher safe!!! I found out after putting it in the dishwasher after the first use:-) The metal became dark and ugly. It turns out that the dishwasher soap actually corrodes the alloy it is made of. Really disappointing!!! Another thing I liked about the Fresh Express was how compact it is to store by stacking the blades. Nothing similar with the Kenwood version.

Since I cannot have 2 machines/motors on the kitchen bench, all what was left was trying to bridge the compatibility issue between Kenwood and Moullinex/Tefal. It turned out to be quite strait forward since both have at least the same rotation direction :-)

This adapter fits the Kenwood Major series and allow attaching the Fresh Express accessory to it (without any modifications). It might work with other Kenwood machine if they use the same socket but I haven't tried. Let me know if it works for you!
