Description
Hi everyone!
This is my design for a vase, to experiment a vase mode-like printing setting.
If you like my designs and want updates, follow me on IG: engineli_3d
negative side of spiralizing mode is you cannot create objects with a thickness, but only one wall surfaces, and no top layers, so this model is designed to be printed in normal mode, one layer at a time.
As you can see in the second image, i designed this vase to have a spiral cut in the side, this make it possible to print both internal and external diameter in one single wall.
More over, i added a little spiral concavity in the inner diameter, so that every layer change happens in that point (selecting "sharpest corner" under the "z seam allignment" setting in cura).
This way the print is super fast (i used 1 wall, 0.3 layer and took 1.30 hours, despite the quite big dimensions of the print) and the outer surface is just at its best.
Just be sure to set the bottom thickness to 2mm, 0% infill.
I added a base that works on the same printing priciple too, and if you like the design but don't wanto to experiment this settings, you can just print the "normal" models i'm uploading.
