Description

Recently got into the idea of making my own Vinyl Decals, after a couple of hours of designing and £10 in items the outcome is an all round great starter drag knife system. Personally created some super stickers. Perfect for those small detail areas where a conventional craft knife would struggle.

There are a couple of other designs for the Ender3 Already out there but I wanted something which would be easy to remove and upgrade. Due to this its based around an interchangeable mount. In short a piece of plastic with some mounting points...

Having such a system allows for new mounts for other use cases to be easily attached without hours of head scratching coming up with a different place to mount it.

As the entire point of this project is to streamline the experience of adding new mounts, the files will of course be all opensource and the STP file is published in the page files.

I've use brass M3 inserts to preserve the threads for a longer period. The holes in the design are 4mm so you could substitute the inserts for a simple M4 bolt if needed.

Just as a side note, for any beginners in vinyl cutting and the calibration process, I would strongly advise going my route and buying an A3 cutting mat and chopping it down to the print bed size. This will prevent any scratches on the bed as well as prolonging the blade life.

Lastly... As Thingiverse dramatically decreases image size and detail I will link below a link for the full size images for a better look.

A quick example of a decal recently cut, (which took less than 20 seconds for the process to complete), is shown below:
