Description
Spindle lock plunger for a Boxford lathe. This is meant to print as a guide for testing fit and to use as a model for making your own from steel. This part will not last long in use just printed in plastic.
Special thanks to Lawrence from the Yahoo Boxford Lathe User Group for providing the dimensions and pictures of his actual spindle lock.
I provided two versions. One has chamfers as they are located on the factory plunger, the other has no chamfers to facilitate measurements. Not included in the STL is the slight concave shape of the face of the plunger where you would press on it with your finger.
In addition to this plunger, you will also need a spring and retaining ring.
