Description
Wanted to test the speed of my carpet and golf greens near me so had to make a stimpmeter. This is a miniature version and scaled down from the standard 36" official stimp devices.
Stimpmeter is used to measure green speeds by rolling a ball down a 36" ramp at a 20 degree angle. The number of feet the ball rolls after the end of the ramp is the Stimp speed. An average of 6+ rolls across different areas of the green determines its Stimp Speed. Most golf courses are between 6-11 and tournament courses are 9-14.
I designed this mainly to test my home carpet and putting surfaces to compare how fast it is related to my local course.
To Scale model use a 2540% scale.
