Description
Original files I remixed from:
Goggles: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:429553
Iris: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2607315
I got this new shiny antique gold filament and wanted to print some goggles as a test. Then I came across the iris attachment listed in the source and wanted to integrate it.
So I edited the original goggles to fit the housing from the iris diaphragm and made the blades 150% thicker and cut off the peg.
I also had a problem getting the tension clip to sit properly and keep the blades properly down, so I designed a cliplocker that you glue on the goggles after assembly.
Just like with the original iris diaphragm, you should print the blades so the blade is parallel to the bed and resting on a peg, then add supports to keep it up. I used 2 layer support distance for proper removal. The difference between Blade_1 and Blade_2 is that they're mirrored from each other so the "nice" side can face out on both sides
Print the following:
6x Blade_1.stl
6x Blade_2.stl
2x Cliplocker(GluedOn).stl
1x Gogglyboi_1
1x Gogglyboi_2
1x Housing_1.stl
1x Housing_2.stl
Add your own strap of choice and nose bridge string of choice. I used leather for both.
