Nimble V2 and Sidewinder V2

The Nimble V2 product line: Lighter, stronger, easier to use, and back in black! (in Pre-Sale)

What did we change? Everything, and nothing.

Everything in the sense that we improved the design, the gear ratio, the weight, and increased common parts. Nothing in the sense of still the lightest, easiest to use and best remote direct drive extruder around.

Improvements:
-Volume down by almost 10%
-Gear ratio reduced to 20:1
-Redesigned easier to use breech
-Unified mounting footprint
-Stronger and stiffer than ever before
-Back in black

The lower gear ratio requires 1/3 fewer steps/mm for the extrusion stepper meaning better suitability for older controllers.

The redesigned breech is easier to operate. And fits in both the Nimble and Sidewinder in the V2 line.
The new Nimble bodies have increased density, increased tensile strength, and nearly 10C increase in heat deflection temperature making it stronger and stiffer and more suited to heated build chambers than ever before. It's also back in black again.

On top of all that the V2 range weighs even less!

These mock-up models can be used to see how well the Nimble V2 family will fit on your printer. You can also use them to design a mount or adapter for your printer.

Of course, we kept the Nimble ambidextrous. This means you can use the same Nimble both left-handed and right-handed. The Sidewinder V2 is only right-handed. It has the same bolt hole pattern as the right-handed Nimble V2. You can design an adapter for the right-handed Nimble and the Sidewinder will fit. Now that is added flexibility!
