Gaggia Classic Normcore Tamper holder

May 2024 - Complete From-scratch redesign

I made a new version of this as the original was completely broken and needed to be redesigned. I got a new tamper and while it's designed to fit the Normcore V4 58.4 Tamper and its holder within the design, you could use it for most 58mm tampers without issue. Put the hole in the bottom so it was easy to push out the holder that sits in the bottom from underneath.

Redesign was done in a few mins in Fusion 360, as opposed to Sketchup that the original used.

EDIT 22/05/2020: I realise it's not a printable model right now - I'm going to spend some time to fix it shortly. I somehow lost the original model file so going to create it from scratch again. Will provide an update hopefully in the next few days

Decided I needed a place to put my 58mm tamper so designed this in sketchup. It's designed to hang off the side of the unit. I can't remember the specs I printed it out with, but the infill probably doesn't need to be hugely high. The opening for the tamper is 62mm so can accomodate slightly larger tampers as well.

Easiest way I found to print was to print base-down and with supports for the clip bit that overhangs.
