Collapsing Lightsaber flashlight mod for $4 torch

Multiple remixed ends that can be screwed onto the Collapsing Lightsaber (Removable Blade)" by 3DPRINTINGWORLD that allows a $4 torch to light up the blade. I have created some new saber bodies that work with the blades so search for my other creations to find the STL files that are shown in the picture.

Very cheap flashlight that comes in colours so that you can use clear PETG blades and use the LED to colour the blades as you wish. It is way more efficient to use a coloured LED instead of using white light and using filters or the blade to achieve the colour. I have also worked out how to remove the multiple modes and strobe which is as simple as soldering an insulated wire between the two points marked on the uploaded PCB drawing. After doing this it is just ON and OFF and much better.

Design allows the clicky switch to be flush with the end and operated without needing to open the sabre at all. Just press the flashlight into the hole in the end after using some hot melt to fix the zoom at the narrowest setting. Some of the ends have a little ring to file down until the fit is tight on the rear of the flashlight this is because not all printers are accurate and this ring is fast to file.

Some tips when printing for best results:

Print the blades in VASE mode so there is no seam and I found a 0.8mm nozzle could print 0.5 layer height and 0.85 wide which made the print go much faster. 15 minutes for each blade piece is possible on my Sidewinder X1 printer due to Volcano hotend.

When printing the smallest blade, turn on bottom layers so the tip does not have a hole in it, this stops light leaking out if the flashlight is turned on with the blade collapsed. It also stops the light shining directly into your opponents eyes.

Use transparent PETG and then any flashlight can colour the blades allowing you to swap them out as you wish.

These are both the same design just the diameter is different. I prefer the smaller version to match children's hands better. Photo shows both versions painted and mounted to a both to see the difference.
