Bald Eagle Feather

This is a Bald Eagle Feather -- From the right wing - a "Secondary" or "Inner Primary".

Thanks to my friend Keith Hansen at the Wildlife Gallery in Bolinas California.

I wandered into this gallery asking if I could 3D scan something significant and Keith gave me a beautiful giant feather. After scanning the feather with a resolution of 40k points per square inch I came up with this model! There's a simplified version and a high quality version- remember if you go to 3D print this item make sure to give it a strong shell thickness.

I trimmed the fuzzies at the base of the feather; the scanner receives ugly noise there.
