Description
In order to reduce the friction of the retaining screws that the original buffer plates might have introduced I modified them to accept M10 passthrough connectors (https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B06VVBFVMV) by extending the plates and adding small stops to prevent the PTFE tube beinbg forced back in the event of a fat tip getting stuck. I feel the end stops might benefit from being a little larger but when using 2.5mm ID PTFE tube the friction is much reduced and it's not been an issue at all.
The printer-side place prints easily with just a little support required at either end. The spool side design is more of a problem requiring a raft of support underneath, but it still came out fine on the first go
