Description

Case for the Raspberry Pi 4. I purchased a new PI with the intent of using it as a NAS server for my virtualization cluster. I wanted something to keep the CPU cool and hold a 2.5 inch SSD/HDD. I came up with this. It keeps things adequately cool and keeps everything nicely contained. I used a Noctuna 5v 80mm fan. It is quiet and moves a fair amount of air. I'm not sure if the fan jet is necessary but in other projects it creates better directed air flow. There's plenty of room for swapping SD cards without dismantling everything. There's also space between the Pi and HDD to allow for air flow under the Pi and above the HDD. I modeled it to use fan screws for securing the fan and for securing the Pi/HDD carrier to the fan body. It will also work fine without a SSD/HDD. Update 20 November 2019: Added a fan shroud (inspired by TheMonkeyStink's make).
