Description
As you probably know, there are issues with the Tronxy X5S family printers, in that the smooth rods are too short, and when you screw them tight on both ends, that you will bend your frame which in turn will lead to bed leveling issues and print quality issues.
This thing is super basic and made to resolve that issue. Basically, it lets you screw the rods in tightly at the bottom of the printer, and will hold the rods in place on the top of the printer, without needing to screw them into the frame.
I do not advise using the pillow block for the leadscrew, so there is no room for that here either. Since the pillow block is of poor quality, it will cause more problems than it will solve. I do suggest you check out my other "Z" mods for the Tronxy X5S(-400), including higher Z (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3849400 up to 420mm) and anti-wobble (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3506062) solutions.
You will need 4 to 8 screws and T-nuts of M4 size, and 8-12mm length. Perhaps M3 size will work but you might need a washer, but M4 is recommended.
Align the rods with the holes in the 2020 frame on top, before screwing the thing onto the frame. You can chose to screw the rods VERY LOOSELY onto the frame if you want, just make sure you don't tighten them for the last +/-5mm or it will again start bending the frame down.
