STERLING SMG MK4 (L2A3)

This is my model of a Sterling SMG MK4 (L2A3). Not only was it a real world weapon, but is served as the basis for the E11 blaster carried by stormtroopers in Star Wars. All parts were modeled to measurements taken from an actual Sterling parts kit. Note that there is an assembly drawing in PDF format attached under "Thing Files". Functional features include:

• Moving/resetting trigger
• Indexing selector switch
• Removable end cap
• Working end cap release
• Reciprocating bolt
• Working magazine release
• Removable magazine
• Working folding stock
• Grip, fire control group, bolt, and charging handle assembles/disassembles like a real Sterling

Update (2020/10/23): Redesigned the fire control group and grip assembly so that it assembles and disassembles like a real sterling. Please note that drawing STERLING2.PDF is now the controlling document. Obsolete drawings and parts have been deleted. New versions of parts with the same name may have a "2" suffix. If you have already downloaded parts to print prior to 2020/10/23, PLEASE COMPARE THE FILES YOU ALREADY HAVE WITH DRAWING STERLING2.PDF as some older files are no longer compatible with this model. If you still have need of older versions of the design, please message me, and I will do my best to accommodate you.

Update (2020/10/01): Added functional folding stock. All files have been deleted and re-uploaded to make sure all compatible parts are here. Drawing STERLING.PDF has been updated to reflect the new design. If you have already downloaded the files and would like to have a functional folding stock, PLEASE DELETE ALL YOUR OLD FILES AND RE-DOWNLOAD! I had to tweak a few parts to get the fit and function right.
