This is a PSU cover/base
- 3x XT60 connectors
- 3x automotive fuses, one per output port
- mains on/off switch (with a built in fuse)
- screw holes designed for 5x5mm (M3) threaded inserts.
- plenty of room inside to do your wiring
- simple screw on lid from the one side
Requirements / checklist:
- PSU: no name / china style psu (113.7x50mm)
- 3x XT60 female
- shrink tubing
- 3x automotive fuses
- soldering tools
- 5x5mm threaded inserts x22
- power switch module with C14 socket and fuse inside (roughly 47x28mm excluding bezel)
- automotive fuse holder x3 (max 30a) - see pictures. Distance between holes: 26.5mm
- Print three XT60 panel mount: (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4030849)
- Fork type cable lug x9 (or what you prefer to attach to psu terminal)
- mains cables, earth cable, cable lugs for the C14 module
- red and black awg 14 wire (12/24v side) - try to get the silicone sleeved high temp and finely stranded
- don't forget a fuse for the C14 / mains module
- 2-4 M4 screws to attach cover to PSU
Print:
- Base: Use supports, print in normal orientation as pictured (the large surface down)
- Lid: Rotate it, the STL is upside down.
Assembly and wiring:
- Solder wire harness (x3):
- XT60 female positive -> red cable -> fuse pin 1
- Fuse pin 2 -> red cable -> cable lug
- XT60 female negative -> black cable -> cable lug
- XT60 panel mount modules:
- Insert threaded inserts
- Insert XT60 female (with wired harness ready)
- Screw lid/clamp on
- Insert threaded inserts into psu cover base (x10)
- Attach harness (x3):
- Screw XT60 modules to psu cover base (x3)
- Screw fuse holders to psu cover base (x3)
- Screw cable lugs to PSU
- Attach mains cables and socket module (you know what to do...)
- Screw lid on
(the prototype pictured is missing the vents in the lid added later)
