Description

Simple, customizable Bézier Curve based spike feet usable for loudspeakers or similar.

STLs

  • Loudspeaker Spike Feet 18-2-20-5-3-1-0.stl: A simple 19mm spike (18mm spike height + 1mm base plate / openwall thickness), with 2mm tip and 20mm base diameter.
    • The ones I printed and currently use.
  • Loudspeaker Spike Feet 18-2-20-4-1-1-0.stl: A single, leaner 19mm spike (18mm spike height + 1mm base plate / openwall thickness), with 2mm tip and 20mm base diameter.
    • Just an example for possible customization. I never tested them, they might be to flimsy.
  • Loudspeaker Spike Feet 18-4-20-6-2-1-0 cut base and tip.stl: A single, leaner 19mm spike (18mm spike height + 1mm base plate / wall thickness), with 4mm diameter open tip and 20mm diameter open base.
    • Just an example for possible customization with open top and bottom.

Installation

Just glue them on and add some rubber/felt/foam pads between the spikes and floor to cushion the vibrations (missing in my pictures). Without some kind of "cushioning effect" the spikes on their own will not be of much use. I'm currently experimenting with some kind of flex-filament "mold", basically resulting in a two-part foot.

If you don't move your loudspeakers around a lot, and if you keep a reasonable base-plate-diameter vs. spike-height ratio, they should be sturdy enough and gluing them on should be sufficient. I can slide my loudspeaker around (on a smooth surface) without any issues.

If you don't like the style/finish 100%, simply place them more to the center (away from the edges) and don't print them too high, this way they stay hidden (looks like the loudspeaker is hovering, like in my example), from any reasonable angle (if you are not currently lying on the floor :-P).
