Sovol SV01 Enclosure 24" x 24" 1/8 1/4 and 4mm Plastic Case

I remixed the enclosure parts ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3794334 ) so it will work with 1/8 plastic sheets. I was being cheap and did not want to buy the thicker plastic. Plus, it seems to hold up very well for a small to mid-size 3D printer. You need to use the 3D printed middle braces because the thin 1/8 plastic is flexible and will leave gaps in the middle. I used PETG plastic sheets and NOT Lexan or Plexiglass, because PETG will NOT crack. I was kind of rough with my building and my most of my measurements was being eyeballed so the PETG plastic is a bit more forgiving to me. :)

If you are curious about the size of the door, all I did was measured 3 inches from each side and grabbed some random round object off my work bench to use as a guide for the corners. Make sure you use something big enough where the jig saw can make the turn in one cut.

(5) 24" x 24" 1/8 thick plastic sheet
(96) M4 x 10mm screws (this includes the 8 screws on the bottom that you might NOT need)
(97) M4 Nut (this includes the 8 nuts on the bottom that you might NOT need)
(7) M4 x 16mm screw
(1) M4 x 25mm (22m long would be ideal but that’s all I have)
(4) M4 lock nuts (a standard nut would be fine too)

(8) Corner (Corner.stl)
(3) Hinge Set (Hinge – Door.stl, Hinge.stl)
(1) Latch Set(Latch.stl, Latch – Door.stl, Lever.stl)
(8) Mid Brace 4 on the sides and 4 on the top(Middle.stl)

I Just noticed I forgot to include the Mid Brace STL file.. sorry!

I finially put a top on the enclosure and if you use the Mid Braces (Middle.stl) on the the top, it will really stiffen everything up. Because of the 1/8 thin plastic I used, I thought I need to support the top with some wood or aluminum extrusions if I plan put the filament spool holder on it. So far it seems to hold up the extra weight with out any additional support.

UPDATE (DEC 11, 2021) - SV03 Conversion
After relocated the SV01 printer I cannot use the enclosure because it's too tall and I would need a stool to load the filament. I wanted to repurpose the enclosure for the SV03 Printer but the 24"x24" panels are too small. This is what I came up with... Take a look at the image gallery of the enclosure with the wooden edges. I used 4 inch wide pine but I think 6 inch would have been a better choice because it is a tad too short in the Y axis. I was able to get away with it because I switched to magnetic bed so the clips did not take up as much space.

UPDATE (Feb 25, 2022) I added a 4mm version of the door hinges and latch.
