Kids Tool Learning Signs

I've added a new version of the "Unicorn" special tools that could be easier to print on some machines. I've also added an easier to print Power Tools sign. These are the -1 files. I intend to work on this more over the holidays and add some things further. Let me know if you see something that I should create.

I have a four year old with her own dirtbike, since she rides, she wrenches. I found that it was a challenge to get her to recall where the tools where, she would recall the name and what it was, but not where it was on the box. Additionally, I have an 18 month old son who loves to be out in the garage helping as well.

So, I figured that if I made some cartoon shaped tools with the name of the tool on them, then maybe both kids could learn:

1. Where the tools are located in the box (helps the wife too)

2. What the tools look like (associate name with shape)

3. How to spell the name of the tool as they learn to read

Currently I have uploaded (I'm working on more every week) the following tools:

Wrench Metric

Wrench Imperial

Pliers

Screwdriver

File

Hammer

Ratchet & Socket

Electrical

Calipers / Precision tools

Specialty Tools (that's the unicorn, things like brake blead kit)

Power Tools

I plan to add micrometers in the near future and maybe a multi-meter. If you have a request please let me know and I will work on it.

Once the parts are printed (most print in an hour or so with 4 walls & 10% infill), glue some magnetic tape to the backside and pop these on your toolbox. Then just enjoy watching someone learn and grow!
