Why don't people use camera tripods as speaker stands more often?
This is a mounting plate that allows a Velbon tripod to be used as a bookshelf speaker stand using its standard Velbon quick-release. It's intended to be attached to the speaker using either double sided tape or screws (with a major diameter of 3-5mm). I'm using it with a moderately heavy pair of speakers, but YMMV.
I'm not sure if it'll fit any other camera tripods, but I'd be interested to know if it does!
