Description
Hello! Here is an Airplane Landing gear I designed for my model airplane I printed from 3D Lab Print. This landing gear has turned out to be extremely strong and easily attaches to plastic or styrofoam surfaces. The weight of the entire landing gear setup can come close to the average 40 grams depending on the wheels and infill you require.
Wheels used in photo: Light Foam Wheel (Diam: 70, Width: 20mm)
Suggested Printing:
Walls - 1 to 3 layers depending on your weight requirements
Infill - 5% to 10%
Fan - None
Construction:
Glue - Hot glue works great with plastic and can easily be taken off moderately with some pulling
Wheels - There are no axle holes designed for this landing gear. You have the option for drilling your own holes as a way to keep your rods from moving around and possibly throwing around the plane.
Also: This design works great with the 3dlabprint's me109 h version (tested) and possibly f version. While bulkier and heavier than 3dlabprints conversion, it provides a possibly easier assembly.
