Mounting bracket for Allen and Roth Cellular Shades

We bought Allen & Roth Cellular Window shades for our home at Lowes. The shades come with brackets that can mount inside the window frame if your windows are deep enough, or outside of the window frame if you have a flat surface around your windows. Our windows were not deep enough and have contoured moldings around them which is not flat.

I designed and printed these custom brackets to allow an inside mount on our windows. Infill% is important on these brackets, 25% allowed enough springiness to install the bracket and hold the shade, more infill will make the part too rigid, and less may not hold as well.

I printed two per window shade, but if you have extra wide shades, you may want to print more.

They work great, but be aware that I designed them to not come loose and you will need to break the thin tab on the inside of the brackets if you want to remove them once installed.The tab keeps the brackets from sliding loose after installation.
