Summary

What: Parts to make a PVC roller. This uses 1.5 inch schedule 40 PVC as the roller and .75 inch PVC as the axle.
This thing provides:

the plain bearings for the roller
keepers (locks/stops) to keep the roller aligned.

Why: Needed rollers for multiple projects. Examples: Chop saw stands; Conveyer belt.

Usage

            <div><p><strong>Parts needed for a roller:</strong></p><ul><li>Print 2 Bearings</li><li>Print 2 Locks</li><li>Obtain and cut 1.5 Inch schedule 40 PVC Cut to desired roller length. This cut must be straight. (I used a chop saw)</li><li>Obtain and cut .75 inch schedule 40 PVC Cut to desired axle length</li><li>Optional: Glue </li><li>Optional: Print 2 PVC end caps: <a rel="nofollow" href="/thing:4107078">https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4107078</a></li></ul><p><strong>Instructions:</strong></p><ul><li>Press fit the bearing into each side of the roller.</li><li>Optional: Glue bearings in place.</li><li>Slide one of the l over the axle and position so that the bearing will not go beyond that point.</li><li>Slide the roller onto the axle.</li><li>Slide the lock/stop in place.</li><li>Test and adjust if needed.</li><li>Optional: Glue locks/stops in place.</li><li>Optional: Press end caps into axle (optional: Glue). Secure end caps to roller housing. </li></ul><p><strong> Notes:</strong></p><ul><li>The bearing should fit snugly into the 1.5 inch schedule 40 PVC. </li><li>The end is filleted to help with fitment. Ensure that the bearing is straight when pressing in.</li><li>The bearing should fit loosely on the .75 inch schedule 40 PVC.</li></ul></div>
