Description
In addition to SW40/60 adapters for the Julius Meyer tube motors for my roller shutters, I made a helper tool for centric installation of the motor mount plate.
The tools helps to center the new mounting plate inside the housing of the roller shutter. In my case the gearbox of the manual drive is round, but the new plate was not. Thus, I mark the position of the gearbox with a pencil (see images) before removing it. Then, I screw the tool inside of the circle and drill four holes. After I remove the adapter, I'm able to mount the plate (without the adapter!) 100% in place.
Of course, the measurements and designs of the manual drives vary, but you may want to remix the rest of the adapter for your usage for the typical metal plates.
